Announcing the Launch of TWI Orbit

Wed, 25 January, 2023

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new service for our Industrial Members that is designed to help you navigate the public funding landscape, TWI Orbit.

Orbit is a new online platform that will give you a head start in all matters relating to engaging and working with public funding bids and collaborative project proposals.

This online service will allow you to be the first to learn about upcoming funding opportunities for engineering and technology projects. This includes curated content on funding calls from the likes of Innovate UK and Horizon Europe, providing the information you need to start planning around a specific concept or idea. Registered users of the service will also have access to support from TWI’s Technology Innovation Management (TIM) team, who are instrumental in helping partners secure public funding, while also offering a wealth of support for business acceleration.

Knowledge of the public funding landscape can be a key driver for product, process and service innovations, with TWI’s director of Membership and Innovation, Tat-Hean Gan explaining, “It is important to us that we are able to offer our Members a truly interactive, meaningful and relevant online platform – one on which they can find all the information they need in one hub – and know they can turn to for support with their public funding queries and activities.”

Tat-Hean continued, “We also understand the importance of being able to develop meaningful business relationships in a dynamic, often virtual, environment, which is why we have included the discussion forum in Orbit.”

This discussion forum allows Orbit users the opportunity to interact with other companies and organisations, developing successful working relationships and identifying potential consortium partners with complementary skills, knowledge and experience.

Although TWI Orbit is primarily aimed at our Industrial Members, we welcome non-Member companies and organisations to register for the service too in order to gain information on collaborative bidding training courses and events you can register for, enabling you to find out more about our Member subscribers and the benefits of joining us.

Adding your company or organisation profile to the service will allow others to find out about your business and initiate new collaborations.

Create your profile on Orbit today and start exploring the new opportunities on offer!
