Famil Hasanov works as QA/QC Welding & Piping Inspector and to further in his career, he believes in reinvesting in his skill development. Holding certificates like Welding Inspector, Radiographic Interpreter, and Painting Inspector, Famil has come back to TWI Azerbaijan office to attend the CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector training course conducted by HamidReza Saadat. He hopes that this qualification is going to help him develop his knowledge further and boost his career in Quality Control.
Famil graduated from Azerbaijan Technical Welding College and after graduation, he worked as a welder for a long time. During this time, he mastered various welding techniques including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
He was then promoted to welding foreman and with the years of experience under his belt and qualifications in radiographic inspection and painting inspection, he eventually progressed to become a quality assurance and quality control welding & piping inspector.
Famil points out that to meet the client's requirements in projects and to sign project reports, it is necessary to have globally recognized certificates.
He thinks that holding internationally recognized certificates of painting inspector, welding inspector, as well as radiographic interpretation, are some of the essential qualifications in the oil and gas sector since these are the basic skills needed to be able to deliver the main work in piping fabrication.
Famil’s personal experience has proven that by improving his knowledge and experience and by obtaining the necessary certificates, he has given a significant impetus to his career development which has led him to land various projects in different countries and gain international work experience.
Famil thinks that TWI is one of the best companies that organizes international training courses in the field of quality control which leads to international certification. “Once you have TWI's international certifications, it is much easier to find work in these fields anywhere in the world. This is since these certificates are highly valued all over the world”, said Famil.
Planning to participate in other TWI training courses in the near future, Famil advises young inspectors and graduates to improve their knowledge by participating in TWI's international training courses to develop their careers by obtaining international certificates.
