Non-Destructive Testing Inspection and Assessment Laboratories

These laboratories are used for non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection of both metallic and non-metallic (polymer and composite) components and structures during production, post-production, in-service and following repair. The NDT inspection facilities and expertise are also key components of TWI’s failure investigation service and can provide significant test data as part of a fitness-for-service or risk-based inspection procedure.

The laboratory team is adept at identifying the optimum solution for any practical industrial application and also specialises in providing innovative responses, including technique development, incorporating modelling, inspection validation and technical justification.
