We welcomed members of the Nigerian High Commission to TWI’s headquarters on Monday, 29 April, 2024 to discuss potential training solutions.

Acting High Commissioner His Excellency, Cyprian Terseer Heen and Head of Consular for Education and Welfare, Mr Christian Okeke visited our facilities near Cambridge, England, to discuss solutions to growing engineering skills in The Federal Republic of Nigeria for the benefit of communities and industry.

There is a need for nations such as The Federal Republic of Nigeria to upskill and improve the expertise of their workforce, and TWI’s experience in delivering global training solutions through our Global Academy can help with areas ranging from asset management and inspection through to welding and joining.

During the visit to TWI, the High Commission representatives met with a number of TWI staff, including Director of Membership, Innovations and Global Operations, Tat-Hean Gan, to discuss options for future collaboration.

Speaking on the visit, Tat-Hean Gan, Director of Membership, Innovations and Global Operations, TWI said, “I am excited about our collaboration with His Excellency, focusing on empowering Nigeria's workforce through specialised training and technology transfer. Our joint efforts are geared towards fostering a green economy, supporting sustainable development and uplifting both the local communities and the broader economy."
