What is the National Composites Network (NCN)

The NCN is a Knowledge Transfer Network that connects all areas of UK composites expertise across many technologies and industry sectors. Jointly funded by industry and the UK Government's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the NCN is part of the larger Materials Knowledge Transfer Network.

NCN know-how and facilities underpin a range of free technical support services for UK companies involved in or moving into any aspect of composite product manufacture or use. Technical support is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized companies, which generally do not have easy access to extensive, specialised technical resources.

Managed by Cambridge-based TWI Ltd, the NCN is helping UK firms develop their capabilities and competitiveness by providing opportunities both for achieving innovation and exploiting best practice and improved manufacturing processes.

UK companies with a question on any aspect of composite materials are encouraged to call the NCN Helpdesk on 01223 894 662 or email info@ncn-uk.co.uk
