27 February 2018

Representatives from the Chinese Embassy in London paid a visit to TWI in Cambridge, strengthening business ties between the UK and China while also discussing future collaborations.

Chinese Science and Technology Minister Counsellor, Sunan Jiang was joined by first secretaries Ge Tan and Jing Wang, as well as second secretaries Junyao Tan and Huigin Ma and attaché Ke Zhao.

The visit follows on from UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s visit to China from 31 January to 2 February, as the two nations continue to look for opportunities to build further business ties.

Mr Jiang gave a talk on opportunities for collaboration between TWI and Chinese business, while also receiving a tour of the TWI facilities. While the Chinese Embassy delegates introduced the possibility of future collaborative research, science and technology projects, TWI, in turn, was also able to show what it could offer to the Chinese market.
